A former Deputy District Attorney for Sacramento County, Ed Dudensing formed his own law firm in 2003 to represent victims of nursing home neglect and abuse, victims of crime, and other victims of catastrophic injuries and wrongful death. Mr. Dudensing has handled scores of wrongful death cases and has achieved numerous seven figure recoveries for his clients.

Mr. Dudensing received his undergraduate degree in Political Science from the University of California, Berkeley. Thereafter, Mr. Dudensing graduated the equivalent of magna cum laude from the University of California Davis Law School in 1994 where he earned several honors including the Order of Coif for academic excellence and the Order of the Barrister for excellence in oral advocacy. He also served as the Executive Editor to the UC Davis Law Review.

Mr. Dudensing’s law career began with a two year term as an attorney to the Honorable Robert C. Broomfield, the Chief Judge of the Federal District Court in Arizona, where he assisted the Court in drafting legal opinions on all civil matters before it. Mr. Dudensing then joined the international law firm of Orrick, Herrington, & Sutcliffe, where he served as an associate in the business litigation department for three years. While at Orrick, Mr. Dudensing worked on a variety of high profile litigation matters.

In 1999, Ed Dudensing joined the Sacramento County District Attorneys’ Office. During his four years as a Deputy District Attorney, Mr. Dudensing prosecuted over 50 trials to verdict. Mr. Dudensing successfully prosecuted cases involving charges of murder, attempted murder, rape, and child molest, among many others.

Ed currently is a member of the National Citizens Coalition for Nursing Home Reform, the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, the National Crime Victim Bar Association, and the Nursing Home Litigation Group of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America. He currently serves on the Advisory Board of Directors for the National Crime Victim Bar Association.

Mr. Buckley works as an associate attorney with The Law Office representing victims of nursing home elder abuse and victims of crime in civil litigation.

Before joining The Law Office in October 2006, Mr. Buckley worked as an associate attorney at Murphy, Pearson, Bradley & Feeney focusing on the defense of medical and legal professionals in malpractice actions. Mr. Buckley received an undergraduate degree in Political Science from the University of California, Berkeley, where he graduated magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa. He received his law degree from the University of San Francisco, School of Law in 2004. Throughout law school, he was an attorney intern in the San Francisco District Attorney’s Office.

Liz has worked as a Certified Litigation Paralegal for 15 years. In the early years in Sacramento she worked at Diepenbrock, Wulff, Plant and Hannigan and later Downey Brand. Before working in law she received her Masters Degree in Audiology from the University of Colorado and worked as a clinical Audiologist at Washington University Medical School and The University of California San Francisco Medical School. She feels fortunate to be able to draw on both her legal and medical background in her work as a paralegal.

Ms. Elliott joined The Law Office in September of 2004. She acts as a legal assistant to Mr. Dudensing and Mr. Buckley. Ms. Elliott received her paralegal and A.S. degree in 2002. She has worked for seven years as a legal assistant to attorneys who specialize in nursing home abuse litigation. She assists Law Office clients in all aspects of litigation.
